Success Story:
A family business which had several investment properties as well as a trade asked me to look at the likely inheritance tax implications if one of the partners were to die. I produced a report identifying the problems with the current situation (IHT of £400,000 on the death), and suggested a restructuring of the business to get Business Property Relief at 100% on nearly all the assets, reducing the potential IHT cost by £340,000.
